About the role
At CEYAS, we are developing intelligent automation solutions for on-site trailer movements. We combine cutting-edge robotics with proven industrial automation to build safe, scalable autonomous systems that operate in real-world environments. As a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, testing, and improving our autonomous system. You won't just execute tasks — you will think along, propose improvements, and take responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robotics and control algorithms
- Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
- Work on real-world validation and testing
- Collaborate closely with hardware and software engineers
- Improve system performance, robustness, and safety
- Take ownership of technical components from concept to deployment
What we’re looking for
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of demonstrable experience as a test engineer or software developer
- Solid programming skills (e.g., C++, Python)
- Experience with system integration and testing
- Familiarity with ROS and GitLab
- Understanding of CE marking and automotive safety analysis
- Comfortable taking ownership and working independently
- Fluent in English and Dutch at B2 level
- Possession of a category B driver's license
What we offer

- Flexible working hours, part-time options (32 or 36 hours), and hybrid work possibilities
- A gross monthly salary between € 3.500 and € 5.000 (depending on experience), plus 8% holiday allowance based on a 40-hour workweek
- Commuting allowance: full reimbursement of public transport (2nd class, incl. Intercity Direct surcharge) or € 0,23 net per kilometre (up to 100 km one-way)
